Solicitations

The Center for Commercialization of Advanced Technology at California State University, San Bernardino (CCAT San Bernardino, a part of Southern California CCAT (CCAT-SoCal)) is pleased to announce the opening of its latest solicitation. It will be open to industry, academic research organizations, and government laboratories beginning Monday, August 24, 2009 through Friday, October 23, 2009, accepting applications beginning Thursday, October 1, 2009.

A mandatory Letter of Intent (LOI) is due September 25, 2009.

The solicitation is focused in areas of military medicine - medical technologies that contribute to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of battle and non-battle injuries and diseases, as well as enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of care delivery.

The solicitation is seeking technologies that are beyond early-stage prototype and have been successfully tested in a relevant environment.
 
Awardees will be considered for one or more of the following awards and services:

• Funding for Product Development, Test, Evaluation and Integration ($75,000)
• Business Services including market studies, commercialization planning, mentoring, etc.
• Business Development Services including access to venture and angel capital investment opportunities.

Finalists will be selected based on peer review of written proposals and will be invited to give a web-based presentation to a panel of subject matter experts scheduled for December 8 & 10, 2009.

Letter of Intent
A mandatory Letter of Intent is due September 25, 2009. The letter of intent is to assist OTTC staff prepare for full proposal review – not to perform any pre-screening of proposals.

Application forms and instructions can be accessed anytime beginning at 8:00 AM (PDT) on Monday, August 24, 2009 and submitted after October 1, 2009. Mandatory Letters of Intent are due by 4:00 PM (PDT) on Friday, September 25, 2009. The Solicitation closes and full proposals are due by 4:00 PM (PDT) on Friday, October 23, 2009.
